Hybrid/Composite Materials

Hybrid/Composite materials are formed by reinforcing two or more materials of varying properties. In our group, we combine conducting polymers/redox polymers with carbon-based nanomaterials for improving the properties. PEDOT-rGO composites have been prepared in our group for supercapacitor applications. Similarly, polyviologen-rGO composites are electrodeposited for stabilizing the viologen-based electrochromic system. We also have experience in the synthesis of metal nanoparticles and their decoration on various polymers for different applications. One example is Au nanoparticle decorated polyviologen for enhanced catalytic applications.
